Mid-October is here and that means that all of the real work of school, work, after school activities, etc are starting to get intense. If your family is anything like mine, then your kids are coming home with copious amounts of homework, study guides for mid-terms, fund raising information and other miscellaneous to-dos’. As if that wasn’t enough, the holidays are almost upon us and work is bearing down on you like a ton of bricks. So many tasks to accomplish everyday!
The combination of all of this, plus extra-curricular activities makes you wonder just how in the world are you going to keep everything straight and organized, help you children to be successful, perform at least up to standards at your job and help produce a happy, well adjusted home life environment so that you and all of the members of your family don’t go insane!
There are two essential things you have to have in order to make it through the next couple of months: A good attitude and a ton of mental focus. You have to be a machine when it comes to being able to organize, tutor, taxi and counsel, but how can you maintain a happy attitude and the mental focus you need all while protecting your brain from over-use injuries? Is there something, anything that can help?
