RYZE is coffee with mushrooms in it. This has no coffee in it at all.
If you are leaving coffee, that difference is the whole decision. RYZE is built on organic Arabica beans with six mushroom extracts, MCT oil and coconut milk powder blended in. Choffy is roasted cacao, ground and brewed — a different plant entirely, with no coffee anywhere in it.

One of them still contains coffee
RYZE lists 100% Arabica beans as an ingredient. That is not hidden — it is on their own page — but it is easy to miss when a product is filed under coffee alternatives. If you are avoiding coffee for any reason at all, that matters more than anything else on this page. There is no coffee in roasted cacao, because cacao is not coffee.
A powder you dissolve against a bean you brew
RYZE is a blend of extracts and dried components stirred into hot water, so you drink the powder. Choffy is the whole bean, roasted and ground, brewed and strained the way coffee is — the grounds stay in the press. Nothing is extracted from it, concentrated, dried and reconstituted in your cup.
Roughly half the price a cup
On subscription an 80 oz bag of Choffy works out around 55¢ a cup. RYZE’s subscription refill is $36 for 30 servings, or $1.20. Their first bag is discounted, which flatters the arithmetic — compare the refill price, because that is the one you pay every month after the first.

Caffeine figures are measured differently: theirs is a fixed dose of powder, so 48 mg is the whole cup however much water you add, while ours is 2.4–2.6 mg per fluid ounce brewed. Does RYZE actually contain coffee?
Yes. Their own ingredients page lists 100% Arabica beans. It is a mushroom coffee rather than a coffee alternative, which is a real distinction if coffee is the thing you are trying to leave.
Which has more caffeine?
RYZE. They publish about 48 mg a serving; ours is about 20 mg in an 8 oz cup by our own measurement. Neither is caffeine free.
Can I brew it in the same things?
Choffy brews in a French press, a drip basket, a pour-over, an AeroPress or a single-serve cup compatible with Keurig® brewers. RYZE dissolves, so it needs nothing but a mug and a spoon. If convenience is what you are optimising for, theirs wins that row.
Which is cheaper?
Choffy, by about half. Compare their subscription refill at $1.20 a serving rather than their discounted first bag, and compare per cup rather than per bag — container sizes in this category are not alike.
